Q: What are your hours and location?

A: Our Mercado is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm. We do not have a central office or phone number at this time, please email us at wimberleyamigos@gmail.com for any questions or inquiries.

 

Q: How can I receive assistance from Amigos de Jesus?

A: If you are a part of an underserved population in our extended Hill Country community, you are welcome to visit our Mercado to receive food and hygiene staples during business hours. You may also apply for our scholarships, mentor programs, reach out to our partners or check out our services for more opportunities. 

 

Q: How do I donate?

A: Visit the donate section of our website to make an online payment, send us cash directly via Venmo, or mail a check to PO Box 106 Wimberley, TX 78676. (what other donation options do we have?)

 

Q: What kind of donations do you take?

A: Money, and/or the donation of your time and talents! We do accept canned goods and non-perishable items for the outdoor pantry that are within their expiration date. We also accept bilingual books, new men's socks and work gloves, and blankets. Please drop these items off during Mercado hours (Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm) when someone is available to receive them. Please do not dump things at the Mercado. We do occasionally put the call out to the community for specific items needed, please watch our Facebook page for updates on these requests.

 

Q: How can I help or volunteer?

A: We are always looking for more volunteers to serve shifts in the Mercado – visit the volunteer page to learn more! 

 

Q: Are you affiliated with any churches?

A: As a 501c3 Amigos de Jesus is not affiliated with a specific church, however we do partner with most of our local churches for many of our events. We are incredibly thankful for their volunteers and donors who consistently give back to make our community a better place to live.
